The Choir at Centrepiece

At a recent musical event, the leader of a music worship reminded the members of the different churches' musical groups represented that they have a reason to sing.

• not just because singing is an enjoyable activity
• not even because singing has been proved to be beneficial to heart, lungs and brain
• or because their congregations need to be led in worship by a group who've practiced the hymns!

The primary and most significant reason, or motivation, to sing arises from gratitude to God for all that he has given to us - his provision for our needs, his love shown to us through Jesus Christ, and from his gift of the Holy Spirit as inspiration and guide in our lives. Whatever may happen, God is with us - and we want to respond to his love in singing his praise, to the best of our abilities.

THIS NEEDS COMMITMENT !

So, the choir meet each Thursday evening at 7:30 pm (vacations and public holiday excepted) to prepare music for Sunday worship, and enjoy the experience of singing together.

So, if you can:

• read music
• have sung in a choir previously
• would like to explore the possibilities of joining
• and (crucially) can sing in tune
