THURSDAY FELLOWSHIP
The Thursday Fellowship welcomes both ladies and gentlemen to their meetings held on Thursday afternoons in the coffee bar at The Centrepiece Church. Although meetings commence at 2.30 p.m. members arrive earlier to enjoy a cup of tea and see what the sales table has to offer.
The main subject for the afternoon usually follows a short devotional and the
notices. The programme is varied, interesting and often educational. So far
this year our speakers have included representatives from 'Beating Poverty',
'The Canterbury Oast Trust' and 'Keep Warm'. Our 'Homegrown' afternoons have
ranged from a Bible Market to Table Games. We enjoy our annual outing, Fellowship
Sunday, Christmas Lunch and garden parties. We also attend U.R.C. and Methodist
Rallies whenever possible.
The Fellowship tries to be a caring group; absent members are remembered each
week, sick folk visited, Birthday cards sent and donations given to the Church,
The Missionary Fund and various charities.
So whenever you have a free Thursday afternoon do come along and join us. It
does not have to be on a regular basis, just come when you can.
We look forward to seeing you
Joan Pearse
Secretary
