· provides a spiritual home and pastoral care for 100 church members, 30 young people and children, and 30-40 other adults.
· provides weekly worship in a relatively traditional Free Church style, biblically based teaching for adults, and biblical and experiential teaching for young people.
· encourages worship of a high standard through training a choir and
a music group, and providing the majority of a singing group.
· supports four house-groups.
· offers the services of five lay/local preachers to other churches within
and beyond the Methodist Circuit.
· contributes its full financial share for ministry to the United Reformed
Church, and contributes 50% of the total Methodist Circuit funds.
· runs a programme for a variety of interest and age groups.
· provides premises for 21 community groups whose activities include
education, dance, sport, health care, social, and for a number of 'one-off'
exhibitions, sales, etc.
· provides the office for the Ashford Methodist Circuit.
· shares in the work and activities of Churches Together in Ashford.
· is a member of the Town Centre Partnership.
· provides refreshment and friendship for shoppers every Saturday.
· leases a shop to Shelter.
· hosts a weekly Soup Kitchen, and weekly lunches throughout Lent.
